 Eligibility Criteria (2025)

To qualify for a free LPG connection under PMUY:

• Woman applicant aged 18 years or older.

• Household must not have an existing LPG connection.

• Must fall under any one of the following categories:

  • BPL household (as per SECC 2011)

  • Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) card holders

  • SC/ST, Most Backward Class, or Tea-garden communities

  • Beneficiaries under PMAY-G, NFSA, or Ujjwala portal

  • Urban poor, nomadic groups, or forest dwellers

• Aadhaar linked to bank account

• Ration card or family ID

How to Apply Offline

1. Visit the nearest LPG agency (HP, Bharat, or Indane).

2. Ask for the PMUY application form.

3. Fill in details manually and attach:

   • Bank passbook

   • Passport photo

4. Submit to the agency. Field verification may take place.

5. Connection issued within 7–10 days after approval.
